    >This had me nearly in tears. I too, share multiple Fathers that are not genetically related to me. One is my FIL, who is the closest thing I’ve ever had to a “real” Dad, another is an uncle who raised me, and lastly, my dear husband, the future Father of my children.

    >I did not have a relationship with my biological dad, either. We have not spoken in 4 years. He doesn’t even know about the birth of our last child.

I have been blessed with a great father in law though, and a wonderful husband. I’m glad you found someone to fill that space for you, as well.

    >Having lost my father three years ago to cancer, every Father’s day is still hard. I don’t have any male father figures in my life, not even any male relatives (besides brother-in-laws)
But this year I have my boyfriend’s dad, whom I know a little. He’s already started treating me like family, and I’m so happy to feel as if I fit in!
I choke up anytime I hear about a daughter not speaking to her father or speaking harshly about him. And I mean the good dads, not the abusive ones. I look the person in the face and say, “Well, at least you have a father.”

P.s. I’m so happy I found this Blog!
